Authoring Safety Data Sheets According to REACH Annex II [ Classroom]

This one day course has been designed to provide delegates with a comprehensive understanding of the legal requirements that must be considered when creating REACH Annex II compliant safety data sheets (SDSs).

Background of Safety Data Sheets

The chemical industry relies on safety data sheets (SDSs) to communicate legally required hazard information to ensure the safe use of products. Companies placing chemical products on the market have a responsibility to supply their customers with compliant SDSs. This can be a complicated and arduous task requiring knowledge in a variety of technical areas.
The quality of SDSs has recently been under scrutiny with ECHA announcing plans for enforcement authorities across the EU and EEA to inspect the safety of workers and consequently assessing the standard and accuracy SDSs supplied.

It is clear that despite the SDS requirements and associated regulations being around for over 25 years, there are still areas for improvement in these important documents. The revised Annex II of REACH has continued to focus the attentions of ECHA and the enforcement authorities.

We are pleased to announce the much anticipated introduction of the chemical regulatory course, Authoring Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) According to REACH Annex II. It adopts an interactive approach of examples and extra information supporting the authoring process which will enhance your skills and improve the quality of your SDSs. The adoption of some basic quick checks will ensure you achieve a high level of compliance, satisfying the expectations of the Member State Competent Authorities.
