Reform of the US Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA)

On June 22, 2016 the primary chemical control law in the US, the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA), received a major overhaul for the first time since its enactment 40 years ago. The reformed TSCA is now in effect as the Frank R. Lautenberg Chemical Safety for the 21st Century Act, and contains major changes to key provisions that will impact all entities that manufacture, import, process, formulate, use, and distribute chemicals within the US.

This webinar provides a brief review of the former TSCA, discusses the drivers and goals of reform, and delves into the significant changes
